Last fall the award winning MC performed his final show capping off a 20 year Hip Hop career in the live music capitol of the world. Ovey announced that it was time to move on and pursue other endeavors in the music industry which included working with good friend Toby Ryan on 101X and his highly rated afternoon drive time show. He also hosted an "MC Overlord Presents..." live music showcase that featured new and upcoming artists such as Bobby Bookout, Aimless Gun and Fremen.

As the new decade begins the Hip Hop MC has given strong indications that his retirement from the local Hip Hop scene is likely to be fairly short lived. He has already announced plans for an early 2010 reunion show and has been planning to write new material with his bandmates and close friends bassist Matt Slagle and guitarist Jonny Branch. Although no new album or permanent return to the scene is certain, it is considered to be strongly likely.
